Dallas, PA – Milnes Construction attended the ribbon cutting for the Back Mountain Memorial Library. It was a great celebration filled with community pride. Members of the library’s board members, volunteers, and state representatives who helped make the grant possible for the upgrades were all in attendance.
Milnes Construction was honored to have been awarded the project, which touched the community’s hearts. Our very own site superintendent Leigh Eyet and Carpenter, Jake Eyet, hold the library in high regard. The two are a father-son duo that put a labor of love into the construction at the library. The board room has more meaning to them than most as it was dedicated to their relative Glenn W. Eyet Jr. He was a monumental part of the library’s legacy as he served as the Treasurer on the Back Mountain Library’s Board from 1980-1991. He was also a local banker and stayed active throughout the Dallas Community.
Milnes Construction installed an elevator and made upgrades to the Auction Room, all bathrooms, Main Lobby, Second Floor Daycare, Stairwells, Reading Room, Bookstore, and some minor exterior improvements. The Milnes Team would like to thank the Director of the Library, Martha Butler, Ryan Doughton of Douglas F. Trumbower and Associates, Inc., and the entire library staff for a successful project.
